SUPPORTING FAMILIES IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
PLAYGROUPS & AFTER SCHOOLS
Bloomfield Community Association has operated a cross-community service for over 40 years. Running daily playgroups, after schools clubs and summer schemes. We aim to enhance the development and education of children under statuory school age.
PLAYGROUP
We run a 24 place Playgroup daily from 9.00am to 12.00pm. This is currently funded through the Pathway Fund. Your child will learn in a safe, warm and accepting environment. Our atmosphere enables children to respect themselves and others. Through diverse creative experiences, we enhance children’s ability to socialize with others, be creative, express themselves and develop.
AFTER SCHOOLS
Our After Schools Club is funded by the Bright Start Fund. We care for 24 children daily from 2.00pm through to 5.30pm. Play areas are important for children, giving them a space for pretending, expressing and imagining themselves. Play areas promote thinking, problem solving, and turn taking, and help children learn and develop skills in all domains. Play areas are also important for developing physical dexterity and good health.
SUMMER SCHEME
Every summer we run a summer scheme for over 100 local children. Ages range from 5-14.
